SummitWATCH monitors your equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and sends alerts to you via every means possible to keep you in touch with any failures as soon as they occur. This will mean that you'll find out about your hardware or software failures directly instead of from customer complaints in the following days.
| Our checks are run from multiple locations on independent carriers, with the database being located at one of our datacentres in the London Docklands area. In the event of any downtime, our engine will keep log messages and alert us as soon as its connection is restored, without spamming mailboxes with thousands of unwanted false alert messages. In addition, summitWATCH is at a completely different physical (and internet) location to summitHOST, allowing both us and our users to independantly monitor summitHOSTed websites without bias, and providing a system that still gets alerts out even if network connectivity to our hosted sites is lost or slowed. | | | We perform tests on our monitoring system at regular intervals |
- To help you with the interface, which is kept as simple as possible, we've added walkthroughs and some quick hints to guide first-timers in the right direction.
- For those of you who have a lot of hosts to add, we've built a simple bulk additions system that allows you to copy and paste a big list in and get going straight away.
- The home page provides a summary of any currently failing checks, and all issues in the past 24 hours, along with everything else.
- Information about the encryption used to keep your information secure is available on every page, for peace of mind.
But don't take our word for it - put your details into the signup form and have a look now!
